Tuesdays

I have grown to love Tuesdays.
It's not because it means the dreaded start of the week is over... or because I'm that much closer to Friday. I love Tuesdays because it means I am one week closer to going to Texas to see Brent.
Brent left on a Tuesday, so each time the day rolls around, I'm that much closer to seeing him. On Tuesdays, I perform my weekly ritual of crossing off another week on his training schedule. To say his training his eight Tuesdays makes the time seem shorter that we are apart.
Time is flying by, which I certainly did not expect. I've started to go to yoga on Tuesdays which has turned into something else to look forward to.
That is why I love Tuesdays.

Farewell

We invited our families over to say goodbye to Brent before he heads off to basic training. We had a great dinner... compliments of everyone bringing a yummy dish or two! It was nice to have everyone over at our place to send him off in style.

Above all...

Brent joined the Air Force Reserves.
I couldn't be prouder of him! He's wanted to join the military for so many years now. After much conversation, and I mean much (since the time we were dating), he decided to enlist in the AFRC. I am so happy with his decision. He is super excited to serve his country.
He signed and was sworn in at Hill Air Force Base.
We'll keep you posted on what happens in the future!
